Well this is one movie, which I would call an emotional horror. If you have seen Sanjay Dutt & Celina Jatley starrer Zinda and found it bizarre then this is ten folds of it.. Zinda was not completely adapted from Oldboy.. they left a big part of the story.

Oldboy is a Korean film which was well appreciated at film festivals but banned in most countries for screening. The story is everything.. its about a man who has been privately imprisoned my someone; he's is released after 15 yrs of captivity. He's then on the quest of finding out why was he isolated from the world for 15 yrs.
Later he finds out.. he asking the wrong question to himself. He should rather be asking why was he released after such a long time. When his questions are finally answered.. he's left with a memory which no one earth would like to live with. Honestly.. it was tough for me to take.
Unless you know Korean, you need to watch the movie with subtitles, but the it does not hamper the chill and suspense in anyway. The movie is beautifully crafted and scripted. Characterization of "Desehu" the central character is phenomenal.
Sanjay Dutt in Zinda in comparison doesn't even close. It's a must watch if you don't wanna miss this modern times spectacular piece of art. Movies like these cannot be rated on a scale.. You have to watch and experience it yourself.
