Why do we still call it the "dark side" of the moon? It drives me crazy! Every time someone says that, I just want to point out that itโs actually the "far side." ๐ It gets just as much sunlight as the side we see; we just never get to look at it from Earth because of tidal locking. Calling it dark makes it sound like some mysterious, shadow-shrouded abyss, when in reality, it's just the part that's turned away from us. Scientists are pushing for the term "far side" to be the standard because it's factually accurate. Itโs high time we stop letting Pink Floyd lyrics dictate our lunar vocabulary. Let's start calling things what they are instead of sticking to spooky-sounding nicknames that confuse people about basic orbital mechanics. It's sunlit, people!
