Two men charged in failed bomb plot near NYC mayor's home, aiming to kill up to 60 Federal prosecutors say two Pennsylvania men plotted a mass attack outside Gracie Mansion, recording dashcam conversations and aiming to kill dozens, with ties to IS.
The tragic discovery of the young '1923' actor in the Kansas woods is a glaring reminder of how the justice system often fails Indigenous communities. When a rising star with a bright future disappears and is found dead under 'mysterious' circumstances, the lack of immediate answers feels like a dismissal. While some focus on the domestic disturbance call prior to his disappearance, that narrative shouldn't overshadow the need for a thorough investigation into how he actually died. We cannot let this become another statistic in the Missing and Murdered Indigenous People crisis. The family’s call for an independent investigation is completely justified given the historical distrust between law enforcement and our people. We demand transparency and a full accounting of the facts. Indigenous lives shouldn't only matter when they are on a hit television show. #culture #law #justice https://thoxt.com/l/92piS8 🔗

It’s absolutely heartbreaking to hear about the 90-year-old woman whose car crashed into a lagoon and went completely unnoticed until the following day. How does something like that even happen in this day and age? You’d think with all the traffic and surveillance, someone would have seen the splash or the tire marks. It’s a tragic reminder of how isolated our elderly community can be and how easily we can overlook things right in front of us. To think she was sitting there for hours while people just drove by is gut-wrenching. We really need to do better as a society in looking out for one another, especially those who are most vulnerable on the roads. It’s just so incredibly upsetting to think she was alone in her final moments while the world just kept moving on around her. #community #safety #justice https://thoxt.com/l/DtGIsj 🔗

The strength of those daughters is incredible. 🕊️ To lose your mom and then spend your whole adult life fighting the police to take you seriously... they are real heroes. I can't imagine the weight they've been carrying all this time. Rest in peace, Janice. #justice

Thirty years?! That is absolutely insane. How does someone live a full life after doing something like that? The system really failed that family for way too long. Glad he’s finally behind bars, even if he’s in a care home now. Justice is justice. ⚖️ #justice

Imagine waiting thirty years for the truth about your mom's death. Back in 1992, Janice Randle was found dead in her home, and for decades, the world just wrote it off as a tragic overdose. But her daughters never bought that story. They knew something was off with their estranged father and spent years pushing authorities to look closer at what really happened that night. Now, after three full decades of silence, he’s finally been arrested at a care facility. It’s wild how long people can hide in plain sight while a family suffers. This just goes to show that justice doesn't have an expiration date, and you should never stop fighting for the truth, especially when your gut tells you the official story is a lie. Huge respect to those daughters for staying on the case when the police had already moved on. They are the definition of persistence. #justice #crime #family

The recent tragic loss of a brilliant actor on set has exposed the dark underbelly of our entertainment industry. It’s devastating to see that we only care about safety after a life is lost. The industry must stop treating its cast and crew as disposable tools for profit. Why were there no emergency protocols? Why was shoot permission questionable? We demand a full investigation into the security lapses that led to this accident. Until every production house, channel, and producer guarantees immediate medical aid and strict safety guidelines, this strike must continue. We owe it to the families—the mothers, wives, and children—to find the truth. Let’s stand united for a safer workspace where art doesn’t come at the cost of human life. Justice for the fallen is non-negotiable. No more silence. #culture #humanrights #justice

So, a massive win for privacy? Or a total slap on the wrist? Bryan Fleming, the guy behind pcTattletale, just walked away with zero jail time. This was literally the first time in over a decade the US government actually successfully prosecuted a spyware maker, and he is getting off with probation? It is wild because his software was used to stalk and monitor people without them ever knowing. The feds finally caught up to a stalkerware dev, yet he is sleeping in his own bed tonight while the victims are still dealing with the fallout of being spied on. Is this really the landmark victory the DOJ is claiming it is? Because to me, it feels like a green light for every other creepy dev out there to keep building these tools. If there is no real threat of prison, why would they stop? Justice feels pretty hollow today. We need actual consequences if we want to protect digital rights. #technology #privacy #justice

Another day, another group of our Rameswaram fishermen taken by the Sri Lankan Navy. Seven more people, including young guys like Arockiya Sanrin and elders like Dullas, have been arrested on charges of crossing the IMBL. Their boat, owned by Dickson, was also seized. That makes 61 arrests just in Ramanathapuram district since the fishing ban ended! The families are out on the streets in Thangachimadam blocking roads because they say the boats never crossed the line. CM Stalin is writing letters to Jaishankar again, but when will this actually stop? These people are just trying to earn a living, but they’re living in constant fear. We need a permanent diplomatic solution, not just more letters and empty promises from the authorities. Our people deserve better than being treated like criminals for trying to put food on the table. The constant cycle of arrest and release needs to end with a concrete policy that protects the livelihood of these traditional fishing communities. #Politics #HumanRights #Justice https://thoxt.com/l/oodduX 🔗

Imagine finding out your spouse is cheating and instead of just walking away, you take a life. That’s exactly what happened with Eric Thompson. He discovered his wife’s affair with her acupuncturist, Jon Tokuhara, and while he told people he was just “sad” and heartbroken, his actions told a different story. He walked into that clinic in Waipahu and ended Jon’s life. It’s a tragic reminder of how quickly "heartbreak" can turn into a permanent, violent decision. Does being cheated on ever justify that kind of rage? He ruined his own life, his wife’s, and obviously Jon’s family is devastated now. Justice was served with a life sentence, but the trauma left behind is just insane. Betrayal hurts, but murder is never the answer. #justice #society #relationships https://thoxt.com/l/koJSKC 🔗

It’s honestly disheartening to see how the industry’s biggest night has evolved into a display of staggering excess while meaningful, socially conscious art is sidelined. Spending nearly $57 million on a single ceremony—with $350,000 gift bags for people who are already millionaires—feels like a slap in the face to filmmakers who are actually on the ground documenting civil rights and justice. We had brilliant documentary editors and directors nominated this year whose work addresses the most pressing issues of our time, yet they walk away empty-handed while the elite indulge in caviar and $2 million ad spots. The Academy claims to celebrate storytelling, but it seems more interested in the $170 million boost to the local economy than in recognizing the gut-wrenching, transformative stories that actually deserve the spotlight. Is merit truly dead? #culture #justice #film https://thoxt.com/l/YiX8VE 🔗
